Bookings Policy

Thank you for choosing Gallio. Our booking policy is designed to ensure every guest enjoys the best possible experience while helping us prepare your table and service. By confirming a reservation with Gallio, you agree to the terms below.

Restaurant Bookings

Tables can be booked online or by contacting our team directly.

Your booking is confirmed once you receive a confirmation email. Please check all booking details carefully and contact us as soon as possible if anything needs to be amended.

For selected bookings, including larger groups, private dining and special events, a deposit may be required to secure your reservation.


Deposits

Where a deposit is required, your booking will remain provisional until payment has been received.

Unless otherwise stated, deposits:

  • are deducted from your final bill
  • must be paid by the date advised by Gallio
  • may be retained if the booking is cancelled outside the applicable cancellation period or guests fail to attend.

Failure to pay a requested deposit may result in your booking being released.


Cancellation Policy

Standard Restaurant & Group Bookings

For bookings where a deposit has been paid:

  • Cancellations made more than 48 hours before your reservation will receive a full refund of the deposit.
  • Cancellations made within 48 hours of your reservation will result in the deposit being retained.
  • No-shows will forfeit any deposit paid.

If your booking is secured by a credit card rather than a deposit, any applicable cancellation or no-show charges will be outlined during the booking process.


Christmas & Exclusive Venue Hire

The following terms apply to Christmas bookings where an agreed minimum spend applies, including exclusive first floor or full venue hire.

  • Cancellations made more than 14 days before the event will receive a full refund of the deposit.
  • Cancellations within 14 days of the event will result in the deposit being retained.
  • Final guest numbers must be confirmed at least 14 days before the event.
  • Guest numbers may be reduced by up to 15%, provided the agreed minimum spend remains unchanged.
  • Minimum spends apply to food and beverages only. Service charge is charged separately and does not contribute towards the minimum spend.
  • Should your final spend fall below the agreed minimum spend, the remaining balance will still be payable.

Group Bookings & Private Dining

For larger bookings, we may require:

  • a deposit
  • menu selections in advance
  • a completed pre-order
  • confirmation of final guest numbers before your event.

Unless agreed in advance, all guests within the same booking should dine from the same set menu.


Pre-Orders

Where pre-orders are required, they should be submitted by the deadline advised when booking.

As a guide:

  • Christmas bookings require food and drink pre-orders at least 7 working days before the event.
  • Other group bookings should submit pre-orders no later than 72 hours before the reservation unless otherwise agreed.

Failure to provide menu selections by the requested date may limit menu availability.


Arrival Times

Please arrive on time for your reservation.

We will normally hold your table for up to 10 minutes after your booking time. If you expect to be delayed, please contact the restaurant as soon as possible and we will do our best to accommodate you.

If we are unable to contact you, we reserve the right to release your table.


Table Duration

To ensure all guests can enjoy their reservation, tables are allocated for a set dining period.

Typical dining times are:

  • 1.5 hours for bookings of up to three guests
  • 2 hours for bookings of four or more guests

Longer allocations may apply for private dining, larger events or special experiences.


Menus & Dietary Requirements

Our menus change throughout the year to reflect seasonal ingredients and availability.

Whilst every effort is made to accommodate dietary requirements and allergies, our kitchens handle a wide range of ingredients and we cannot guarantee an allergen-free environment.

Please inform a member of the team of any allergies or dietary requirements before ordering.

Guests should also be aware that some dishes may naturally contain small bones or shell fragments despite careful preparation.


Pricing

All prices include VAT unless otherwise stated.

Menu prices, promotions and offers may change without notice, including for bookings made in advance where supplier costs or seasonal menus change.

A discretionary service charge may be added to your final bill.


Photography

Gallio may occasionally capture photography or video within our restaurants for marketing purposes.

If you or any member of your party would prefer not to appear in photography or video, please let a member of the management team know before your visit.


Guest Conduct

We want every guest to enjoy a welcoming and safe environment.

Gallio reserves the right to refuse service or end a booking where behaviour is abusive, threatening, unlawful or likely to compromise the safety or enjoyment of other guests or our team.

The organiser of any private event is responsible for the conduct of their guests and for any damage caused to the venue.


Personal Property

Personal belongings remain the responsibility of their owner.

Whilst we will always do our best to assist with lost property enquiries, Gallio accepts no responsibility for loss, theft or damage to personal belongings left within our restaurants.


Force Majeure

Gallio shall not be liable for any failure to fulfil its obligations where circumstances beyond our reasonable control prevent us from doing so. This includes, but is not limited to, severe weather, government restrictions, utility failures, industrial action or other unforeseen events.

Where possible, we will work with you to rearrange your booking or provide an appropriate alternative.


Management Rights

Gallio reserves the right to amend menus, pricing, opening hours and booking policies where reasonably necessary.

We also reserve the right to refuse or cancel bookings where required for operational, safety or legal reasons.
